Ok, welcome to my new deal. The first ever Toasty Tuesday. I think that saying actually typically means that you get very drunk with your friends on a Tuesday night, but that’s not what I’m talking about- I am talking about actual toast. That you eat on a Tuesday.
From now on I am going to show you a new kind of toast every Tuesday. Weird? Noooo… Toast is perfect for breakfast, lunch or a snack, so why not celebrate it in all of it’s many glorious forms?! Some are recipes, and some are kinda-recipes (like below)- because I am sure you are capable of doing things like figuring out how many tomatoes you want on top of your toast, right?
I happen to use Gluten free vegan bread, which is much better toasted anyways, so there is a win-win. And none of my toppings will ever have dairy, eggs or gluten in case you were wondering! (I’m sure you weren’t)
The first in my new series is this de-licious! BLT Avocado Toast. Classic Avocado toast which is pretty much impeccable on it’s own, and then I added peppery arugula, crispy bacon and garden fresh tomatoes with a just a sprinkling of fresh bush basil (tiny leaves)- but regular basil chopped would be great too. You just need to finish it with a drizzle of olive oil and some kosher salt and you are in business!
Happy #ToastyTuesday!
